Sanjay Mathur
is a Bay Area Kavi and Shayaar. Born and brought up in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, and having lived in Singapore, and
Australia; he calls Cupertino, California his karm-bhumi since 1990. Sanjay hails from a family of doctors. Early in
his childhood, he decided not to take up his family profession, but to go after writing and creative expression, which
he inherited from his mother and grandmother.

Ever since Sanjay played Chacha Nehru on his school stage at the age of seven, he has taken an active
role on stage. As always, he is deeply involved in the local cultural scene. He is a founding member of
Manoranjan Club, Hindi-Club of Bay Area, and Muskhare club. Last four
years, he has been volunteering for an annual Hasya Kavi Sammelan under the banner of
Indo American Society of Bay Area. He has shared stage with
India's top poets, such as Surendra Saxena, Ashok Chakradhar, Manik Verma, Pradeep Chaube, Arun Gemini, Mahendra Ajnabi,
Baba Stay Prakash Maurya among others. This spring, he had the honor of introducing Ghazal King, Ghulam Ali on the stage
of Sunnyvale Temple, and being the anchor of a successful Indian Classical program, "Suno Bhai Sadho",
which was organized by CAALA. Sanjay has
been conducting and participating in various bay area cultural events, such as
Kahkahe 2002, 2003, ICC Antakhshari, Hindi Club offsite
events, local mehfils and ghosthis.

Also, Sanjay has been writing short stories, thought-provoking articles and Hindi poetry. Some of his
work got published in San Jose Mercury, renowned Indian magazines, British Journals, and on literary Websites over the

Recently, he is writing for Manushee, a local publication for women. Sanjay's first collection of
Hindi poetry was published in a CD-ROM format, titled, "Chand ki kala" in 2000. Currently, he is writing a book on
information risk management and database security. In his other fulltime profession, Sanjay is a strategy and technology
consultant and love to combine his creative talent with his technical skills; thus calling his company,
"Contentify, Inc."

Sanjay has been a proud father of two very creative kids, Paritosh and Pragya and has been married to
Rina, who is keeping him in balance for past 21 years of their marriage.
